Carbon neutrality (CN)

The term Carbon Neutrality defines the achievement of a state of equilibrium between greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and their absorption/removal.
At an international level, the ISO 14068-1:2023 standard defines the requirements for the quantification, reduction and compensation of GHG emissions in specific areas (e.g. organizations, products, projects and events).
The path towards Carbon Neutrality represents a crucial element for companies that want to contribute to the transition to a low carbon economy in accordance with the objectives set by the new European Green Deal .
