The Product Carbon Footprint (CFP) is the quantification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculated on the basis of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology. In the calculation, therefore, both the emissions connected to the extraction and transformation of the raw material and those connected to the production, transport, use and final disposal of the product are considered. Introducing the CFP means understanding which of these phases are most critical in terms of GHG emissions, making it possible to implement effective measures to reduce them.
